BAŞAKŞEHİR - ST. PATRICK'S

(TR) Başakşehir takımı Çağdaş Atan'ın gelişiyle inanılmaz bir ivme yakalayarak sezonu 4.sırada bitirerek Uefa Konferans Ligi'ne katılma hakkı kazandı.

Başakşehir eliminated La Fiorita in the second round and Iberia 1999 in the third, leading to a play-off matchup against Irish side St. Patrick's Athletic. When we look at the first and second legs as a whole, it's safe to say that Başakşehir's coaching staff was well-prepared for all possible scenarios.

• AVERAGE PLAYER POSITIONS IN THE FIRST MATCH

In the first match, due to challenging weather conditions and the aggressive pressing from St. Patrick's Athletic, Başakşehir struggled at times to build play and set up their usual 2-3-5 or 3-2-5 attacking formations. To better understand the tactical setups from the first match, it’s essential to analyze their use of full-backs and structured attacking play in the second match. 👇

In the second match, when looking at the average positions, it's clear that Başakşehir managed to impose their game on their opponent. As a result, St. Patrick's Athletic was often forced to defend with a six-man block. This defensive setup was heavily influenced by Başakşehir's full-back positioning, as well as the opponent’s need to match Başakşehir’s full-backs in 1v1 situations.
